Newag Impuls (another designation EZT 35) is a series of standard track electric multiple units (EZT for short), the production of which started in 2012 at the Newag plant in Nowy Sącz. The width of the EZT 35 is 2,840 mm, with a height of 4,150 mm and a wheel diameter of 840 mm. The maximum operational speed is 160 km / h, with the speed record for this EMU being 211.6 km / h.

Design works on Impuls started in 2004, initially in cooperation with Zakłady Urządzeń Tabor Kolejowego from Nowy Sącz and Energocontrol from Kraków. From 2005, work was already underway at Newag (former ZNTK Nowy Sącz), and the new EMU was partially structurally based on some elements of EN57 trainsets. In the course of production, lasting from 2012, several versions of these EMUs were created, which, however, differed from each other not so much in terms of design, but in the number of units (carriages). Generally, you can indicate, among others 2-unit (37WE), 3-unit (36WE) or even 6-unit (35WE) sets. All of them are primarily used to handle passenger traffic. Newag Impuls teams are operated by numerous operators in Poland, including SKM Warszawa, Koleje Dolnośląskie and Przewozy Regionalne.
